Portland/Hood River, OR; November 16, 2023 – SightLine Applications (“SightLine”, or “the Company”), an Artemis company, is a leading developer of image processing electronics and software products that enable the success of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) missions, today announced that Ms. Kristin Robertson has been appointed to the Company’s Board of Directors. Ms. Robertson not only brings decades of executive leadership and strategic discipline rooted in “mission objectives” across domains – from land to sea to air to space.
Ms. Robertson’s depth of market insight and diversity of business and functional area executive expertise – gleaned from posts ranging from her former roles as President, VP/GM and business unit Chief Engineer roles at both Boeing and Raytheon – was too compelling not to enlist in SightLine’s ambitious strategic plan. SightLine Chair, Euan Milne, said, “Ms. Robertson brings precisely what we need for SightLine’s next chapter: world class technical and commercial experience, unparalleled industry insight and connectivity in autonomous systems, and an obsession with our customers mission. It’s a natural fit.”
Ms. Robertson commented, saying, “While I’ve long known of SightLine, I can say with confidence that the Company finds itself today in a rare strategic position as a leading and trusted player in image processing technologies – enabling earlier threat detection, more accurate classification and faster, real-world decision-making. Given the critical role of these systems in making the world more safe and secure, I’m thrilled to help SightLine, its key customers, passionate team members, and Artemis, realize their vision for the Company.”
Ms. Robertson has more than 30 years of experience in Aerospace & Defense at companies like Boeing and Raytheon. Robertson was most recently President, Space & C2 at RTX and prior at Boeing she served as Boeing Defense Space & Security vice president and general manager of Autonomous Systems – a seabed to space portfolio that included key franchise programs such as the MQ-25 Stingray, Orca eXtra Large Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (XLUUV) and Boeing’s Airpower Teaming System (ATS).
Ms. Robertson is also recognized by the Society of Women Engineers and National Engineer’s Council for her leadership and support of Women in STEM fields. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from UC San Diego and an International Executive MBA from Saint Louis University.
