Customer Support Engineer
SightLine Applications is seeking a smart and talented candidate to join our team developing cutting-edge video processing systems for the aerospace industry. We are a small and innovative company and are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about making a significant contribution.
Providing superior technical support to customers is critical to our reputation and success. You will work closely with our Support team to:
Acquire a cognizant understanding of system operations and technical nuances of our products.
Quickly understand customer needs and work as part of the support team to provide timely technical responses.
Work with electrical and software engineers to test and evaluate new designs and technical fixes.
Perform software and hardware testing of new product releases.
Document procedures for internal and external use.
Technical certificate, degree or equivalent experience
2+ years technical support or engineering experience
Strong, active listening ability
Methodically troubleshoot problems and document procedures and solutions
Ability to follow documented procedures
Strong written and verbal communication
Experience with quality customer interactions
US citizen or green card holder
Bonus skills – not required
Networking knowledge/experience with Ethernet, routers, switches, TCP, UDP, and DHCP
Familiarity with circuit board schematics
Experience with international customers
Techniques for managing customer stories (familiarity with customer relationship management tools)
Experience with technical sales, computer vision, UAV, aerospace, DOD, camera/surveillance systems, avionics system integration.
Compensation includes salary, paid holidays, PTO, health plan, 401K. Limited travel.
Salary Range: $50,000 to $75,000 per year depending on experience.
